Hyperbolic twisted torus links
نویسندگان
چکیده
The twisted torus link T(p, q; r, s) is obtained by twisting r parallel strands of the (p, q)-torus a total s full times. In this paper we find all links which are hyperbolic for $$\vert s\vert >3$$ .

Volume Bounds for Generalized Twisted Torus Links
Twisted torus knots and links are given by twisting adjacent strands of a torus link. They are geometrically simple and contain many examples of the smallest volume hyperbolic knots. Many are also Lorenz links. We study the geometry of twisted torus links and related generalizations. We determine upper bounds on their hyperbolic volumes that depend only on the number of strands being twisted. W...
متن کاملLegendrian Solid-torus Links
Differential graded algebra invariants are constructed for Legendrian links in the 1-jet space of the circle. In parallel to the theory for R, Poincaré–Chekanov polynomials and characteristic algebras can be associated to such links. The theory is applied to distinguish various knots, as well as links that are closures of Legendrian versions of rational tangles. For a large number of two-compon...
متن کاملHomology of torus links
In this paper we show that there is a cut-off in the Khovanov homology of (2k, 2kn)-torus links, namely that the maximal homological degree of non-zero homology group of (2k, 2kn)-torus link is 2kn. Furthermore, we calculate explicitely the homology groups in homological degree 2kn and prove that it coincides with the centre of the ring H of crossingless matchings, introduced by M. Khovanov in ...
متن کاملTwisted Alexander Invariants of Twisted Links
Let L = 1∪· · ·∪ d+1 be an oriented link in S3, and let L(q) be the d-component link 1 ∪· · ·∪ d regarded in the homology 3-sphere that results from performing 1/q-surgery on d+1. Results about the Alexander polynomial and twisted Alexander polynomials of L(q) corresponding to finite-image representations are obtained. The behavior of the invariants as q increases without bound is described.
متن کاملTwisted Geometric Langlands Correspondence for a Torus
Let T be a split torus over local or global function field. The theory of BrylinskiDeligne gives rise to the metaplectic central extensions of T by a finite cyclic group. The representation theory of these metaplectic tori has been developed to some extent in the works of M. Weissman, G. Savin, W. T. Gan, P. McNamara and others. In this paper we propose a geometrization of this theory in the fr...
